Jody developed an interest in physical therapy while he received his own physical therapy treatment for a back injury he incurred in 1988. He was impressed with how it helped in getting him back on his feet, and he decided that he would love to help others through their own process of recovery.

He graduated from Winston Salem State in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in June of 1997. His passion for the people and scenery of east Idaho led Jody to purchase Spine & Sport Physical Therapy in Rexburg in January of 1999.

Throughout his time working in Rexburg he continued his education and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Utica College in August of 2011. Jody and his wife Gennifer were married in June of 1991. They have three sons and one daughter.

His family and his work give Jody his greatest happiness. He enjoys being with family and friends, and he considers the staff and patients of Spine and Sport PT a kind of second family. He loves the outdoors and spends his days off either fishing or skiing.
